I live in Michigan. It's the one that's shaped like a mitten, and it's not really a fantastic place. It's known for being cold (although we have warm summers) and my particular area (Detroit) is known for all the crime and the auto industry. You probably don't want to come here.

I suggest going to Arizona. I've visited and it's really nice.

Well thats great you are comming here! :)

Like I just moved to Florida, it is OK, but there are alot of forigen students coming here. I know two Russian guys and one serbian girl(all juniors and im a freshman lol..). They are so nice. It would be super cool if you came here, I am not a host family but if you found one in brandon florida(so you go to bloomingdale) you would have a nice time. People are really nice here. I love meeting people from diffrent countries that is probably just me though. I have family in Germany, Italy, Iriland, France, and some other countries I cannot spell, lol.

Then in the US my family is in California, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan and Colorado. MY best friends are in Tennesse and Virginia.

I move a ton so I know about these states, and now Florida, but not really I just moved here. But any of these states are great!

But PM me anytime :)

EDIT: I forgot I lived in Maryland! I was born there! LOL. Dont rember much, but I guess it has to be great :)

Pretty sad that I forgot were I was born though.

You may suggest going here, but I wouldn't suggest living here. I hate it.

Here are the main jokes about our state. Most of them are not exaggerations:
* the birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
* the potatoes cook underground, and all you have to do to have lunch is to pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper.
* farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
* the cows are giving evaporated milk.
* the trees are whistling for the dogs.
* you no longer associate bridges (or rivers) with water.
* you can say 113 degrees without fainting.
* you eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off.
* you can make instant sun tea.
* you learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron.(most true of all)
* the temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly.
* you've experienced condensation on your butt from the hot water in the toilet bowl.
* you would give anything to be able to splash cold water on your face.
* you can attend any function wearing shorts and a tank top.
* The 4 seasons are: tolerable, hot, really hot, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!
* you discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car.
* you discover that you can get a sunburn through your car window.
* you notice the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
* hot water now comes out of both taps.
* it's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one person is out on the streets.
* you actually burn your hand opening the car door.
* you break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m. before work.
* no one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car or not having air conditioning.
* your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"
* you realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
* a sad Arizonan once prayed, "I wish it would rain - not so much for me, cuz I've seen it -- but for my 7-year-old."

But hey, if you like 120 degree weather, then welcome to Phoenix! It was 87 degrees outside. They say it will be 90 tomorrow...it's November. Its awesome.

and its one of the top ten smartest states in the united states. I think its actually number 2...cause its so close to D.C. apparently, but I don't believe that cause all the people in Washington are idiots hahah.

Haha, do you really hate it? Phoenix was the nicest place I've ever been. Everything was clean and well-kept, all the houses, including the ones in the "bad part", looked like rich peoples' houses, etc. And believe it or not, the only time I've ever been fishing (which is something closely associated with Michigan) was in Arizona. =P

Granted, I went around Easter when we were still knee-deep in snow, so the 90 degree weather was fine by me.

Lemme see if I can find some state jokes for here... I love those:
1) You are directly related to someone who works at Ford, GM, and Chrysler.
2) You can see yourself in the background in at least one scene of "8-Mile".
3) You think of the legal drinking age as 19, not 21. (*It's 19 in Canada, for those who don't know)
4) You carry a taser and/or firearm to Pistons games.
5) You think of 8-Mile Road as 'hardcore' and start to laugh.
6) You have unusually high standards for the taste of your tap water.
7) Your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March
8) You often switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.
9) You can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard, without flinching.
10) You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction.
11) You find 0 degrees "a little chilly."
12) You think owning a Honda is Un American.
13) You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
14) Driving is better in the winter because the
potholes are filled with snow.
