 Backhandsprings.
Ok so I watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttKjUYSixYI and I was wondering where would a safe place be to practice it? Like I dont have a spoter or anything Iknow it is pretty dangerous but is there anyplace I can practice it? My trampoline is still not together and we need to find a place to put it up. I do have a pool though. Like an inground pool it goest from like 3-5 feet. So yeahh. If that helps at all. And my mom used to cheer and she probably knows how to spot. But if she cant any ideas?

 Re: Backhandsprings.
Go to like an allstar gym & take some tumbling classes? Or maybe buy a cheerleading mat offline. I have 2 of them.

 Re: Backhandsprings.
um the videos kinda wrong. when you swing your not supposed to sit, its supposed to be arm swing, sit, block jump up [which means swing your arms back up as fast as you can] then jump UP befor you jumps back.
hope that helps a little!
oh ya at first when i took tumbling at my old gym they told us to do it this way, but now i take tumbling somewhere WAY better and my coach tells us to swing then sit, or else you lose the momentum!
ohh and if you can just go to an open gym at an all star gym and if you cant then get a couple mats and [hopefully] have your mom spot you

 Re: Backhandsprings.
I step into my backhandsprings. Usually just one step though. If I can, I'll make a video and show you how I do it.
