 ATTENTION... BEWARE on Message Boards Hello AC readers,
It's been brought to my attention that there is someone on the forum who is private messaging girls and asking for their IMs and personal information, claiming to be a moderator for the boards and member of the AC/Dance staffs. Ladies, BEWARE!!!!! This person is NOT a member of our staff! DO NOT under any circumstances hand out your personal information to anyone who asks for it. The AC editorial staff consists of four women: Erin Skarda, Associate Editor; Kathleen Hager, Editorial Assistant; Brittany Geragotelis, Senior Editor; and Marisa Walker, Editor in Chief. In addition, interns may jump online under my screen name (Erin) to send messages. We operate ONLY under the usernames Erin and aceditors. In addition, Alison and Tamara are the only other moderators on our board. AC will NEVER give out your information to anyone outside our staff.
If you encounter someone who is posing as a staff member, please let me know immediately! Send me their username in a private message or in an email to eskarda@americancheerleader.com and I will delete their account immediately. The AC staff wants to keep you all safe and make sure that you can enjoy these forums as a place to discuss cheerleading, dance, fashion, beauty and teen issues. But I want to remind you that anything you put online is in the public domain forever! This includes pictures, personal stories and information. Please be aware of what you're putting out there. If these types of action continue, we will be forced to close down the forum so we can make sure that you all remain safe and secure.
This is a very serious issue, and if you have any questions about it, please do not hesitate to contact me at eskarda@americancheerleader.com or by sending a private message. Remember to report anything that you feel is suspicious, and please be smart and safe out there.
